Today the State Review of Oil and Natural Gas Environmental Regulations, also known as “STRONGER”, announced that it is accepting proposals for support services to assist the organization as it positions itself to a more prominent role in ensuring that the nation’s oil and gas resources are developed in a safe and environmentally sound manner.

HARRISBURG (July 18, 2012) – State Review of Oil and Natural Gas Environmental Regulations (STRONGER), Inc. has added Mr. Scott Perry, Deputy Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Office of Oil and Gas Management, to its Board of Directors. Mr. Perry replaces former Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission Director, David Neslin who left state service earlier this year.
Statement of the STRONGER Board on the Appalachia Shale Recommended Practices Group’s Recommendations

Certain oil and gas producers have responded to the recommendations of the SEAB and NPC and formed the Appalachia Shale Recommended Practices Group (ASRPG). This group developed Recommended Standards and Practices for Appalachian Shale Development and Production Operations to be shared and disseminated to interested parties. The ASRPG has provided the Recommended Standards and Practices to the STRONGER Board.
STRONGER Completes Independent Review of Arkansas Oil and Gas Commission Program Regulating Hydraulic Fracturing of Oil & Gas Wells

A targeted review of the Arkansas Oil and Gas Commission (AOGC), Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ), and Arkansas Natural Resources Commission (ANRC) programs regulating the hydraulic fracturing of oil and gas wells has been completed by a multi-stakeholder review team appointed by STRONGER.
